Never Be One

As I wrote that previous post I remembered this song. It was one that I remembered listening to while growing up from my mom's collection by Alabama. I couldn't remember the title but I googled and found the lyrics. I'm going to have to buy it and download it now! Sniff, sniff, I love it! :)

It's called Never Be One!
Words and music by teddy gentry

Drift off and dream in your paper-doll world.
Play with the presents from the boys and the girls.
Your big day is over. the cake is all gone.
We sang you to sleep with the birthday song.

Chorus:
No. youll never be one again.
The twos are tumbling on in.
Daddys little girl is growing up in the world.
Youll never be one again.

The toy piano is quiet in the hall as kermie the frog sits watching it all.
And soon your legs will grow and make the tricycle go and take you away from us
All.

Chorus
Goodnight, baby. goodnight, daddy.

Wendy,
5 years old that is crazy. It doesn't seem that long ago. The years do go by soo fast. My mom says the milestones are the hardest with the youngest because you know that's it. I think I can see that. Wish Lauren Happy Birthday. I hope she had a great day!!
