Missing my daughter...at camp

My daughter is away at girls camp this week. I sure do miss her! I find myself wondering at different moments of the day, I wonder what she's doing? I remember those days, they were fun, but I remember a point where camping was no longer fun. After about the first night! I wonder if she has hit that point yet? In fact we went camping as a family last weekend. After the first night I said to my husband..."why do we think this is fun? We leave our clean house with ac and soft bed to come sleep in the heat in a trailer (better than tent, granted) but still the kids are filthy, its hot, there's bugs and we do this in that name of fun"!?

Anyways, back to missing my daughter, she probably has not hit that camping is no longer fun point because she is staying in cabins with showers and toilets! They call that camping? She is a beehive and this is her first year so she's going to get to experience the food, the bugs, the late night giggles, the you are getting on my nerves moments, meet new friends, prank the leaders, outdoor skills, testimony meeting...oh the memories :) I'm excited she is getting to experience it all, but the house sure is quiet with one gone!

My Favorite Passion...

I have many passions. I have posted about my business and my love for my country. I would like to introduce you to my favorite passion! My Family. I am blessed with 4 beautiful children and a fun loving husband of 13 almost 14 years! They are: Megan, 12, she excels at all she attempts. She will be a 7th grader next year and is a straight A student. She swims competitively every summer. Last summer she was 6th overall out of 54 11-12 year old girls! This year she is right on target to do as well at her championship meet. Chase is 9 almost 10. He will be a 4th grader, he's also a straight A student. He's an awesome athlete. He's a star soccer player, undefeated wrestler and races motocross on top of it all. Trace is 4; he's our little whirlwind! He is non stop! He's our little comedian and we never know what to expect from him next. He will start pre school this fall and he rides a little 50 cc motorcycle anxiously awaiting his first motor cross race this summer! Ahh, I need to catch my breath:) My baby is almost 2 year old Charlee. Charlee will be 2 on August 23. I felt her presence long before she was born and knew we had to keep having kids until we had another little girl! I am so glad we did. She is the little Belle of our family and it has been so fun having a baby girl again. She is my doll to dress up, my princess to hold. Now, she is starting to talk and every time she learns how to say each one of the kids names they are so proud. She takes the title of baby of the family to the next level; she took all the left over attitude there was! Watch out! My husband, Steve is my heart and soul. Since August 4, 1993 I have laughed, loved, cried & achieved all with him. Families are Forever! Yea!!

Happy Independence Day America!!!

I strongly feel we live in the most blessed country on the earth. America is beautiful from sea to shining sea, she offers more opportunities to her people than any other. In America, you are in charge of your destiny, yea sure circumstances can help or hinder but in no other country can any individual rise to the occassion and make a mountain out of nothing.

Thank you to our troops who sacrifice and have sacrificed so that these freedoms can continue and others can afford the same freedoms. My heart goes out to their families, thank you!

God Bless America!! Don't you just love our flag? I love the red, white and blue. I have one hanging on my front porch all summer long and I take great honor in displaying it! The National Anthem is a song we all learn in our childhood and sing at the ballfield, social events, etc. I never knew the tear jerking story behind that song. There is an amazing email going around that tells the story behind the penning of the Star Spangled Banner. I tried to get it on here to share, but I need Blogging For Dummies, I couldn't figure it out. The story made me realize just how special that song and our flag is. . .

Happy Fourth of July to each and every one of you!!!

My First Ever Blog

Ok, I've taken the plunge, like I need one more thing to get hooked on and not have enough time in the day for :) But its fun right? Ok so I may have a hidden agenda for doing this so I'll get that right out on the table. I have a new website. and I want to get the word out! I have sold on ebay for 2 years now and have had success. Now I am taking the next step in the big online world and developing an estore. I have 4 amazing children, I am blessed to be able to spend my days at home with them. But I am also an entrepreuner, love an adventure and a challenge, ok spending all day with 4 kids is an adventure and a challenge! But I love the thrill of a great work accomplishment. Thus my desire to develop this site. I can work and raise my children at the same time.

My store is filled with fun childhood treasures! You know that big wooden dollhouse that stood over 4 feet tall that as a child you dreamed of one? Or how about that train set that became a town and filled the entire table? These are items that children dream about, they love and the toys also provide an element in childhood that many of our kids miss out on these days, its called imagination. I want to build those imagination muscles! TV and video games seem to take away from the magic of pretend play. It's not a lost art, we can reintroduce it to our children. Our children will lead more productive, happier lives because of it. My store will be filled with fun, high quality items that will make a child's dream come true while providing hours of imaginative, productive play for their growing minds and bodies.

Also, look for children's themed bedroom furniture, desks, rockers, outdoor furniture, clothes. . . all heirloom quality products. Take a look, www.kidsdreamspot.com don't forget to bookmark my site as everyday new items are arriving! My children are my world, I want them to have rich, wonderful childhoods. Toys aren't all that matter but they are a huge part of childhood. I believe every child deserves a little something special!

Feel free to blog about what you dreamed of as a child. Or whatever you want. Thanks for stopping by. . .
